The Series has helped to garner support for Africa from the U.S. government, academia, the private sector, civil society organizations, and businesses. Named in honor of the former Chairman of The Africa Society Board, the Series was launched in 2002, in partnership with African embassies.

Conversations with African Ambassadors

Conversation and Dinner with African Ambassadors Series provides a forum for African Ambassadors to dialogue with policymakers and the media about the foreign policy objectives of their respective countries, and to address issues ranging from misperceptions about their countries to strategies for attaining improved bilateral U.S.-Africa relations.

The Africa Society launched thisinnovative program on Capitol Hill in 2006.

LITERATURE

United States & Africa Relations

Our mission has always been deeply intertwined with the vision and passion of our former President, Patricia Baine. Under her leadership, Teach Africa made a real difference in the lives of many. The Patricia Baine Teach Africa program stands as a testament to her dedication and commitment to our cause.

Africa is seeing a returning diaspora that recognizes the potential and opportunities in their own countries. Our partnership with The Africa Society allowed us to engage with them and assist with their investment back to their communities.
